Road to lifting the cup
With a new format comes a new route to the final. With SHC GIvisiez taking on SHC Courroux Wolfies in the quater final coming out victorious in OT, they decided that this game wasnt long enough and wanting more rink time so took SHC Buix into OT and then a penalty shoot out eventually coming out winners with a 6 - 4 penalty shoot out win.
IHC Malcantone took a different route comfortably beating SHC Lechelles Coyotes 5 - 2 and then taking the Rams by the horns and beating them 5 - 1 in the semi setting up for a Swiss on Swiss finale.
The final was nothing short of epic! a clinical display of Swiss speed, agility, power and prowess! With ICH Malcantone taking the lead SHC Givisiez clawed their way back from one goal down, to one each, and then took the lead...
The game looking like it may go to OT at one point clipped the wings of the Buix forcing them to empty the net. At one point it looked like it would work with a goal being clawed to a one goal difference at the end with SHC Givisiez lifting the cup on home soil!
