- IISHF Regulations 2026 (version 2026.03.01).
ยง9.4 has been modified to include the U13 and U16 Continental Cup which was missing in the previous published version.
2. Tournament Rules of the IISHF European Cups 2026
As attachment you will get the Tournament Rules of the following European Cups 2026:
- U19 European Cup 2026 in Kaarst (Germany)
- U13 European Cup 2026 in Bissendorf (Germany)
- Men European Cup 2026 in Biel/Bienne (Switzerland)
- U16 European Cup 2026 in Rossemaison (Switzerland)
- Men Challenge Cup 2026 in Givisiez (Switzerland)
Please transfer these documents as soon as possible to your participating teams. For accommodation and organisation questions, teams should contact the relevant Event Director listed in the Tournament Rules.
The Tournament Rules of the Women European Cup 2026 in Ternitz (Austria) will be published by the end of May.

4. Change of Austrian second team for the IISHF Women European Cups 2026
We can now officially confirm that Torpedo Gfrasta from Austria, as approved by the IISHF Presidium, will take the spot for the upcoming IISHF Women's European Cup 2026 as the second Austrian team.
This reflects the correct sporting qualification in Austria based on their national championship standings in the 2025 season.
5. Possible expansion of the IISHF Women European Cup 2026 from 6 to 8 teams
We have received a request regarding the possible expansion of the IISHF Women European Cup 2026 from 6 to 8 teams. This is currently under review. The IISHF Presidium will consult with the IISHF Working Group on Title Events (chaired by Marco Eicher, Switzerland) before making a final decision.
6. Modifications of the Time Schedules for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup and Men European Cup
The time schedules for the IISHF Men Challenge Cup and Men European Cup have been modified to ensure that all teams still have a chance to win the tournament on the final day.
This change ensures the final day remains meaningful for all teams, while still rewarding the strongest teams from the group stage. It also ensures that teams are not eliminated too early, even after a poor start on day one.

The Tournament Rules of the U19 IISHF European Championships 2026 in Ternitz (Austria) and the IISHF Men European Championships 2026 in Rossemaison (Switzerland) will be published by the end of May.
