The requested team information and the deadline apply for all participating national teams even for the hosting NMA since IISHF needs to get a copy of the team information from all participating national teams. The requested team information should still be delivered to IISHF even if any hosting NMA has contacted the participating national teams directly.

Please transfer this information a.s.a.p. to your teams participating. In case of any questions to accommodation and organisation, the teams shall please contact the relevant Event Directors.

Please also pay attention that each National Member Association must send not later than two weeks before each IISHF Title Event the completed and approved International Team Certificate (ITC) of all its teams to the IISHF ITC Manager (itc@iishf.com). The ITC 2026 version must be used as made available on www.iishf.com and delivered with this IISHF Communication Letter.

3. IISHF ITC Version 2026

The IISHF ITC document has been updated to a 2026 version and will on a regular basis be updated on our website www.iishf.com when additional information is available, for example additional B-events. Attached please find a copy of the current version.

Please note that it's required to list two Jersey Colors in the ITC when participating in IISHF Events.

  • Two main team colors in the hex code format (https://www.color-hex.com) as main color (color 1) and secondary color (color 2).

4. ITC NMA Approvers

We have seen some changes within National Member Associations, its members, committees/boards and officers. As a result of this we would be grateful for confirmation of who you have as appointed/approved ITC Approvers.

Currently the following persons are named as NMA approvers listing those 5 countries that have actively participated in IISHF Title Events in 2025.

  • Austria: Alexandra Kogelbauer
  • Denmark: Erik Sommer
  • Germany: Carsten Arndt
  • Great Britain: Will Osborne
  • Switzerland: Gilles Sansonnens

For those countries that have only one NMA approver IISHF will recommend that they appoint a 2nd approver as backup.

If any changes to this information it should be sent to office@iishf.com with a copy to itc@iishf.com.

5. IISHF National Member Association (NMA) ITC Approvers – 2026 Process

With regards to IISHF ITC Process entering into 2026, this year we will be opening the new online process to teams meaning that there will be two routes to approve ITCs.

  1. Downloadable ITC
  2. IISHF Website digitally completed

The reason we will be offering two routes for delivery is to ensure should there be any issues with the online delivery, we will have an alternate method of delivery from the teams to you, and from you to IISHF / itc@iishf.com.

During this process this should make it quicker and easier for all as this will complete data integrity checks that should help reduce the number of issues we have seen over the years:

  • Duplicate license numbers
  • Duplicate jersey numbers
  • Missing information

One of the benefits of completing your ITC via the website rather than using the Excel version is that you will get instant feedback on if an ITC can be submitted and what will be returned to you as input error such as missing license numbers, duplicated jersey numbers, incorrectly formatted information and more.

This new process via the IISHF Website will give teams, National Member Association ITC Approvers and all other relevant parties instant feedback on when an ITC has been submitted and approved or rejected by National Member Association or IISHF.

The Excel version will still be available for season 2026 from our Documents section of the website as we run this new process to ensure that this works and should there be any issues, we have a fallback plan.

Other data issues we have seen increase over the years are names that do not match that of the official passport and incorrect dates of birth. This year, any ITC's where player information is not matched to the passport/identification the TD and TA will still use their discretion. However, if we continue to see incorrect information from the same country new ITC's will be requested for the respective teams.

In the coming weeks we will:

  • Release a video on how to access and approve the online documents.
  • Send invitations to all known National Member Association ITC Approvers to create an account on iishf.com to be able to log in to review and approve relevant documents.
  • If required, we can run a zoom call with each of the NMA ITC Approvers individually or as a group to discuss the new process in detail.

Currently IISHF see a small risk that there is only one ITC approver per National Member Association and recommend that there are at least two per National Member Association to ensure that should one of you not be available then a backup can be activated to avoid any issues before or during an event where you may be required to handle urgent issues such as ITC approval or re-approval when new players, coaches or data is corrected.

If any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the IISHF IT Director / ITC Manager Simon Price directly to discuss, sprice@iishf.com.

6. Team Information Submission – system to be used/implemented in 2026

Following the launch of the new version of the IISHF Website we are seeking to change how we collect information from you for A Class / IISHF Title Events. Prior to 2026 we would collect the same information from you year upon year such as logos, past results spanning the last 10 years (as requested above in point 1 + 2). With the new website we are changing how we collect, store and use team information and this will be done via the IISHF Website.

In the coming weeks, your National Member Association will be invited to sign up to the IISHF website and manage your club and team information such as:

  • Club contact name and contact details
  • Club logos
  • Past successes over the last 10 years
  • Team contacts information per age group
  • Team logo, should this be different to the club logo

Once you have submitted the required information, all you need to do is click submit and then this information is distributed accordingly to the event host and relevant IISHF Officials.

Instructional videos will also soon be available on how you can complete this for your team and will be available via the IISHF Website.

Please note that before further instructions has been delivered the deadline as described in point 1+2 will still apply.

7. NMA Social Media Contacts

IISHF has previously stated that we wished to collaborate with National Member Associations to communicate with our skater hockey community, along with looking at how we attract new members within your governing bodies.

As we did in the past years we request that if you wish to work with the IISHF and build a strong foundation of communication and sharing of ideas that you reach out to IISHF Communications Office directly at communications@iishf.com with office@iishf.com on copy to register your interest in working together.

As previously stated for 2026 we have a social media strategy we are looking to build our campaigns and to fully achieve this we need — because the end goal is to grow the sport in all areas — which means attracting new members in all member countries.

Our IISHF communications team look forward to speaking with you.
