With this CL the IISHF confirms all participating teams to the 8 Title Events 2022. It also mandates all NMA to inform IISHF until 13.01.2022 which teams under their jurisdiction are willing to play Friday games at the IISHF Title Events 2022.
1. IISHF Title Events 2022
Attached please find the final selection and ranking of the teams for the IISHF Title Events 2022. The ranking and selection of teams for the IISHF European Cups has been done according to article 18.5 IISHF Regulations.
We kindly ask all NMA’s to inform their teams about their participation and in addition to carefully check the selection list and inform IISHF if anything is not listed according to the input given to IISHF. 2. IISHF U19 European Championships 2022
A total of 4 countries (Austria, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland) have signed up for participation at the IISHF U19 European Championships taking place on 30.09 – 02.10.2022 in Bordon (Great Britain).
IISHF will accept later registration for this IISHF Title Event according to article 18.4 IISHF Regulations until 15.02.2022 including an additional fee of 50 Euro per week in effect from 15.12.2021 in accordance with article 9.1 IISHF Regulations.
3. IISHF Men European Championships 2022
A total of 4 countries (Austria, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland) have signed up for participation at the IISHF Men European Championships taking place on 03– 06.11.2022 in Duisburg (Germany). Two countries (Denmark and Ukraine) have informed that they are considering participation but both countries haven’t yet made any final commitment.
IISHF will accept later registration for this IISHF Title Event according to article 18.4 IISHF Regulations until 15.02.2022 including an additional fee of 50 Euro per week in effect from 15.12.2021 in accordance with article 9.1 IISHF Regulations.
4. Teams willing to play Friday evening games for selected IISHF Title Events 2022
For all of the IISHF European Cup Title Events 2022 (except the IISHF Men European Cup - which is a 3 days event and the IISHF Women European Cup – which is an event for 8 teams) there is an option for teams to play games on the Opening Night at the other IISHF European Cups with 10 participating teams (U13 EC, U16 EC, U19 EC and Men Challenge Cup).
It is not mandatory to play games Friday however if we can play 2 games or at least 1 game Friday evening then the length of all group games for a 10 team Title event can then be extended from 2x10 minutes to 2x12 minutes. IISHF has a preferene for the hosting club to play on the Opening Night if the hosting club permits games Friday evening.
We need to get the response delivered from all the participating teams for the mentioned IISHF Title Events. The response should be delivered by the NMA’s. When responding the participating teams should reply if they are willing to play games on Friday (Yes or No) and if they are willing to play how early they would be able to play on Friday.
