I heard that next year, they'll take place in Holland... but can anyone tell me when and where in Holland?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
can somebody from the IISHF tell me how the participating teams will be selected for the European Cup 2008.
Are there always 12 teams? I guess that the European champion 2007 (LA Tour CH) is taking part as well as the host (Duisburg D) and the national champion from Germany (what if it is Duisburg? A place for the vice-champion?), Switzerland (Bienne), Denmark (who?), Great Britain (who?), Holland (who?) and Austria (who?) will be invited. So 7 or 8 teams.
What will be done to select the others? Are team from Israel and Russia ready to participate, which will be great? What about other countries?
Or the places left are going to be given to vice-champions from countries best-ranked in the European championship 2007 (1. Switzerland, 2. Germany, ...)
Can you please answer to me asap. I have a meeting with my team tomorrow evening.
Thanks
Regards

Number of teams participating in European Cup for Men 2008

Postby Erik Sommer » Thu Nov 15, 2007 11:05 pm

The procedure for deciding the number of teams is the following.

1) IISHF will in cooperation with the host decide how many teams that will participate.
2) The member countries will report to IISHF which teams can participate.
3) IISHF will select the teams for the title event.

The European Championship for PeeWee will take place June 21-22, 2008 in Gentofte (suburb to Copenhagen), Denmark. The host will be Gentofte Rollerskating Club. The intention is to have 10 teams participating. IISHF will officially annouce the event later this year. The selection of the teams for the tournament will take place when the NGB's have forwarded which teams will be able to represent each membering country.
