Check of players birth year at IISHF Title Events, Livestreaming from the IISHF U19 European Cup, Pledge for the IISHF U16 European Cup livestreaming
1. Check of players birth year at IISHF Title Events
We already had two IISHF Title Events this year and the U19 European Cup is coming up next weekend on June 8-10, 2018 in Kaarst (Germany). We as IISHF Presidium have a great duty of care towards our members and must make sure that the eligibility of each player is correct. This matter was actually already brought up for your attention in 2017 where we published the following procedure in the IISHF Communucation Letter 2017-19 as of June 20, 2017.

This can be done in a very easy way and we have only to control the passports at the Managers Meeting. All the foreign teams must have the passports with them and only the domestic teams have an additional burden to make sure that they also produce all their passports. From our point of view there should be no discussion for this from anybody who wants a fair sport and who has nothing to hide. Therefore we insist on this procedure to guarantee a fair event.

IISHF check passports (age, nationality) at European Cups & European Championships. We insist on national passports (and/or national identity card) , to ensure that age and nationality is not pampered with. So this action will apply for all remaining Title Events in 2018 since it is also relevant for the Men, Women, Veterans and U16 Youth age group.

The IISHF Presidium will make a proposal at the next IISHF AGM in February 2019 to modify the IISHF Regulations in regards to this matter.

2. Livestreaming from the IISHF U19 European Cup
The hosting club Crash Eagles Kaarst from Germany has given the following information about livestreaming from the upcoming IISHF U19 European Cup 2018 taking place on June 8-10, 2018. They are planning a Livestream with a mobile phone on their Youtube Channel (Crash Eagles TV): www.youtube.com/channel/UCCYiecHPHGmU2a1QTj9LLlA

3. Pledge for IISHF U16 European Cup livestreaming
IISHF is supporting on equal terms all hosts who are willing to provide livestreaming with the announced IISHF Support Package as mentioned latest in the IISHF Communication Letter 2018-13 as of May 7, 2018.

Düsseldorf Rams the hosting club for the upcoming U16 European Cup on June 15-17, 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany has plans for a professional provider to do a livestream with minimum a manned camera and a second person entering the game and score (plus commentator, at least part time). In the perspective of IISHF this is a description comparable to the livestreaming just provided at the IISHF U13 European Cup 2018 in Rødovre, Denmark.

In addition Düsseldorf Rams has made a pledge to the participating teams and any other sponsors for voluntary extra contribution for their planned livestream. They have installed a donation campaign on the platform "gofundme.com". Here is the link to the website: www.gofundme.com/u16-eurocup-2018-live-stream
