 Germany wins Junior European Championship in Lugano, Switzerland on September 9-10, 2006. StumbleUpon Toolbar
3rd consecutive title to the German Junior National Team.
Germany and Great Britian getting ready for the final
Germany won the Junior European Championship 2006 with a 10-2 win over Great Britain. Third place to Switzerland with a 6-5 win in overtime over Denmark. Netherland won 5th place 10-3 over Austria. Once again dominated Germany the tournament and went undefeated through the tournament. Austria participated for the first time with a junior national team. Good organization by the host Lugano. Fair Play Cup went to Switzerland. All Star Team selected consisting of Christian Tarp, Denmark (goalkeeper). The outfield players was Robin Weisheit (Germany), Kai Esser (Germany), Tom Dickinson (Great Britain) and Cyril Estoppey (Switzerland). The player with most point was Lukas Fettinger from Germany with 21 points (18 goals and 3 assists).
