2. About participation and referee fees for cancelled IISHF Title Events
With IISHF Communication Letter 2020-12 IISHF Presidium announced to give in short term an official statement about the payment of the participation and referee fees for cancelled IISHF title events 2020.

The IISHF Finance Director will send until tomorrow an email directly to each NMA who confirmed participation on title events 2020. In this email all financial issues of 2020 shall be explained in detail and in a full transparent way - please treat these figures confidentially. In this email also all further details for the handling of this issue shall be mentioned.

In general, as the IISHF has already incurred significant expenses for the Title Events in 2020 it offers all NMA's and participating teams two options. Either a partial reimbursement in two steps for their payment of referee and participation fees (with giving up the relevant spot) or, alternatively, a full transfer to the equivalent IISHF Title Event in 2021 incl. guarantee of no additional payment in 2021.

It will also be explained in that email that IISHF will implement strict own measurements in order to fulfil both options by saving expenses in all areas (e.g. no physical Working Meeting 2021, less costs at AGM 2021, transfer all equipment order to later years,?).

The IISHF Presidium would like to express its deep desolation over the cancelled Title Events and the inconveniences and challenges the COVID-19 pandemic brought to all participants at these events as well as our international skater hockey community.

3. IISHF Communication with NMA's
In § 17 IISHF Constitution the general procedure for communication between IISHF and the NMA's is regulated. As general practice all communication to a member country should pass through the headquarters of the National Member Associations.
IISHF will however in some special circumstances decide that communication directly with the hosting clubs and the participating teams is needed in order to obtain essential information for example in the current situation with the coronavirus. IISHF will, of course, at the same time ensure that the NMA's are informed and consulted accordingly.

This management decision was latest practiced and published in the IISHF Communication Letter 2020-11 as of 23.04.2020 were we stated that "we are currently in communication with the hosting clubs and participating teams" in regard to the participation in the IISHF Men European Cup 2020 and the IISHF Men European Championships 2020 in due to the coronavirus situation and the possible impact on the hosting of these two IISHF Title Events.

4. IISHF Men European Championships 2020 cancelled - to be postponed to 2021
The Men European Championships 2020 in Duisburg (Germany) on 6-8th of November, 2020 has to be cancelled due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This event will be postponed to 2021 ? date to be fixed later ? same host and location in 2021 as in 2020.
