1. IISHF Presidium elected at the AGM 2018
The IISHF Presidium was elected for the next 2 years period (2018-2020) on 25 February 2018 at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Madrid ( Spain).
Erik Sommer (President) and Ingo Goerke (Finance Director) were reelected whereas André Poddubny was elected as new Vice-President replacing Thomas Ortner.

2. Men Cup Winners Cup 2018
It was decided at the IISHF AGM on 25 February 2018 that the Men Cup Winners Cup 2018 will take place with 12 teams rather than the previously announced 10 teams. The two additional teams for the event are SHC Rossemaison (Switzerland) and Samurai Iserlohn II (Germany). In order to ensure games with minumum 2x12 minutes the games will start on Friday afternoon from 14.00.
It was also decided at the IISHF AGM that the Men Cup Winners Cup will change name in the future to Men Challenge Cup.

3. Age lower limit for the U13 European Cup 2018
The age limit (eligibility) of players on title events is generally fixed in the Tournament Rules. Previously the younger age category Minnow (U10) hasn't been allowed to take part in the U13 European Cup. The IISHF Presidium has discussed this matter and decided that for the U13 European Cup 2018 taking place on 1-3 June 2018 in Rødovre (Denmark) players born in 2009 will also be allowed to take part in the U13 European Cup 2018.

Please also inform your teams that according to point 4.1.7 IISHF Rules Book for all title events (except U13 EC) the players from the next lower age group are allowed to play at the relevant event. But for the U13 EC only players of the oldest year from the Minnow age group can take part at the U13 EC.

4. Additional teams for the European Championships 2018
The extended deadline for any additional teams for U19 European Championships on 9-11 November 2018 in Cadempino/Lugano (Switzerland) and the Men European Championships on 22-25 November 2018 in Rossemaison (Switzerland) shall be set to 1 July 2018. National teams outside Europe are also welcome for these two events and if they take part the events will be renamed to Open European Championships.

On behalf of the IISHF Presidium
Erik Sommer (President)
