7. Title Events 2010-2012 (next 3 years)
For the European Cups and European Championships in 2010 (as well as 2011 and 2012) we have not yet received sufficient applications (see attached Events Calendar). It is the strict wish of the IISHF Presidium that all Title Events 2010 shall be scheduled and fixed lately until 01.11.2009. The IISHF Presidium will make a mid year report. European Cups should take place in April-June. European Championships should take place in August-October. As most events are still open, the NMAs must support which means to inform all their clubs on time about vacancies and to support any application best as possible. Please publish this message to all clubs in your country and ask them to host a
title event and to give an application for this. Please refer to the documents available on www.iishf.com including ?Guidelines for Hosting a Title Event?. The host of an European Cup always gets a wild card (if it is a first division team). Particularly we ask those countries and the
relevant National Member Associations who did not host (several) title events in the last years to take over hosting of any title event to the benefit of the sport. We also ask all National Member Association to make sure that this information is published to all clubs.
