Gentofte Rattle Snakes from Denmark won the European Cup for Women 2008 in Skaterhockey over Mambas Menden from Germany after penalty shootout in a great thrilling final. The winning score 3-2 (0-0, 1-1, 0-0, 0-0, 2-1). Third place won by Capolago Flyers from Switzerland over Bochum Lakers from Germany with 4-3 after peanalty shoot out. In the first semifinal Gentofte Rattle Snakes won 5-1 against Capolago Flyers from Switzerland. In the second semifinal Mambas Menden won 1-0 over Bochum Lakers from Germany. Gentofte Rollerskating Club hosted the European Cup for Women in the weekend May 3-4, 2008. 8 teams from 4 countries took part in the event from Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Bochum Lakers from Germany was the defending champion.
